So it's been about 12 months since your last birthday (funny how that seems to happen every year) and it turns out a lot has happened since then. In fact this is the first time you went a full 365 days between birthdays with me next to you!!! 😘 That's pretty neat. So here's some fun mems from the year
Happy Birthday Frances Russell 😘
...but see before we get to the mems themselves I actually need to entertain you in a different way for a little bit because it turns out there is much so awesome-ness and good times packed into a year of pictures that they take a little bit to load, and because we weren't looking to over-engineer this TOO much we didn't go down the rabbit hole of compressing images or building fancy loading experiences or anything of the sorts so instead we resorted to what has now turned into a run on sentence simply to provide the interwebs some time to send a few pictures from across the planet to your very phone in this moment
Did you know there some pretty neat holidays this week
- International Waffle Day (TODAY!!!) You match waffles, that's neat. I love those crunchy breakfast goods a waffle lot
- National Spinach Day (26th)
- Manatee Appreciation Day(27th) (I did not make this up)
Anyways, I bet the adventure has loaded by now. Enjoy!
We kicked off the post March 25, 2023 year with some amazing music in a rare, non-Nuggets appearance at Ball Arena
We took some cute selfies
You were the worlds most supportive AIARE-class partner and came up to Estes Park to make me soup 🍲 and listen to me gush about snow ❄️
We went on some bike rides and explored Denver
We celebrated my birthday with some good people
We had many impromptu fashion shows at REI
We had our first flight together to Florida and not only ace-ed the difficult flight but had some great moments atop a parachute
First and almost last bucket hat worn
We ran our first trail running race together!!! ❤️
We bought our first couch together, and have sinced moved it many times
We had our first experience skinny dipping while fending off 1 billion skeets
The first trip to the 'east coast' (turns out St. Louis is not considered the east coast)
We did not get lost in corn fields
We had one of the best and most memorable camping trips to date filled with freezing turquoise lakes, plenty of deer sightings, and some intense cooking
Sometimes we like fire a little too much
We cleansed our faces together
We kicked off what has become one of the most special traditions that we have
We hung out with some childhood friends
We thrived on the dance floor at weddings and started talking about our own
One of my favorite pictures we have
Another one of my favorites
Lots of cuteness
Learning new things!!
Another one of our favorite traditions, and perhaps the cutest picture of the cutest bug in the cutest hat we have to date 😘
Now, if you're wondering why the next transition to the next picture feels so anti-climatic, it might have something to do with the fact that we never actually witnessed the New Year. For all we know, we're still stuck in 2023. We have no way of knowing. I know, it's wild. I'm spooked, I bet you're spooked, but we have to move on.
We are all smiles for not accidentally burning down all of City Park. Also, a good time to reflect on our wishes at the time :)
Someone thriving in the back-bowls of Vail to recap an amazing ski season
Someone thriving on sleep
And someone thriving on life
There are so many more pictures and moments I could include in this recap, this page would scroll forever. Here's to many more 🎉
Happy Birthday love, and don't ever stop being you ❤️.
